Exist\u0103 peste 20 de specii ale genului care pot cauza infec\u021bii la om, dintre care cea mai comun\u0103 este Candida albicans. Alte specii care produc ocazional infec\u021bie sunt: C.tropicalis, C.parapsilosis, C.glabrata \u0219i C.krusei<sup>1<\/sup>. Candida albicans este cea mai r\u0103sp\u00e2ndit\u0103 specie fungic\u0103 a microbiotei umane \u0219i colonizeaz\u0103 asimptomatic multe zone ale organismului uman (intestin, vagin, mucoasa bucal\u0103, piele), \u00een special tractul gastrointestinal \u0219i genito-urinar al indivizilor s\u0103n\u0103to\u0219i.<\/p>\n<p>Una dintre caracteristicile principale ale C. Albicans este adaptabilitatea sa, fiind capabil s\u0103 prospere \u00een condi\u021bii extrem de diferite ale gazdei. Acesta este prezent\u00a0 \u00een cavitatea bucal\u0103 la aproximativ 75% din popula\u021bie. Cu toate acestea, persoanele imunocompromise pot suferi infec\u021bii frecvente ale cavit\u0103\u021bii bucale.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen plus, se estimeaz\u0103 c\u0103 ~75% dintre femeile sufer\u0103 cel pu\u021bin o dat\u0103 \u00een via\u021b\u0103 de candidoz\u0103 vulvovaginal\u0103 (CVV), 40-50% experiment\u00e2nd cel pu\u021bin un episod suplimentar de infec\u021bie. Factorii predispozan\u021bi pentru (CVV) includ diabetul zaharat, utilizarea de antibiotice, contracep\u021bia oral\u0103, sarcina \u0219i terapia hormonal\u0103 si ceste condi\u021bii sunt neletale. Cu toate acestea, candidoza sistemic\u0103 este asociat\u0103 cu o rat\u0103 brut\u0103 ridicat\u0103 a mortalit\u0103\u021bii.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00e2t neutropenia, c\u00e2t \u0219i afectarea mucoasei gastrointestinale sunt factori de risc pentru dezvoltarea candidozei sistemice (diseminate) prin catetere venoase centrale, care permit accesul direct al ciupercii \u00een fluxul sanguin, aplicarea de antibiotice cu spectru larg, care permit cre\u0219terea excesiv\u0103 a fungilor, \u0219i traume sau interven\u021bii chirurgicale gastrointestinale, care perturb\u0103 barierele mucoase.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.synevo.ro\/candidoza-vaginala-o-infectie-fungica-femei\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Candidoza<\/a> este una dintre cele mai frecvente infec\u021bii dob\u00e2ndite \u00een spital la nivel mondial, fiind o povar\u0103 financiar\u0103 mare pentru serviciile de s\u0103n\u0103tate.
